The Blanchard Center

On November 14th of 2007 Habitat for Humanity HiawathaLand accepted The Blanchard Center, as it is now called (formally Lincoln Elementary School), located in Manistique, Michigan. Our goal was to relocate our offices, open a ReStore (a place where gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, and home décor could be sold), a Community Room (for other non-profit organizations to meet, free of charge), and open a Volunteer Center (a place where volunteers could prepare meals, rest, relax, sleep, and receive orientation and safety training). We believe that the Blanchard Center would allow us to serve and do more for families in the geographical area we serve. Since receiving the Blanchard Center it has been renovated to house our offices, ReStore and Community Room. We realized the need was here, but we were not prepared for it to touch so many lives so quickly.

Please Watch our Video on the center, then please read the The $20,000 Challenge !!!!!
