HiawathaLand Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit, Christian, ecumenical organization that offers families in need a hand up. Habitat expresses God's love through our work. We put "Faith into Action" by reflecting Christ's love in loving and caring for one another. We follow the "Economics of Jesus" by giving what we have without seeking profit or interest. Our "Theology of the Hammer" is everyone using a hammer to manifest God's love. We believe that all people deserve a simple and safe, decent home to live in dignity. We provide opportunities for you to learn skills you will need to own and maintain a house.

    We are committed to a partnership with its homeowners. The building of each home is done with  the help of churches, businesses, student groups, friends, family, and community volunteers. Habitat will provide the experienced professionals needed. HiawathaLand Habitat for Humanity has been blessed with many workers.
